Abstract:

It was wasting time and energy to conduct a large number of experiments for establishing the forming limit curves by the particular forming machine. For the above problems, the forming limit curve could be predicted by combing the ductile fracture criterion and numerical simulation. Then, 3D finite element analysis model was built, and the forming processes of aluminum sheet 1060 with different sizes were simulated and analyzed, and the limit strain of fracture was found by the lemaitre ductile fracture criterion, and the forming limit curve was fitted. In order to verify the correctness of the proposed method, the forming limit curve of aluminum sheet 1060 was made by the experimental method. Furthermore, compared with the curves, they had a good fit for the basic consistency. Thus, the result indicates that the method can be applied to predict the forming limit curve.
