Title:Design and optimization on crankdriven doubletoggle linkage transmission mechanism

Abstract:

A crankdriven servo press with vertical transmission toggle linkage was designed to process lightweight sheet of high strength and large rebound. The transmission mechanisms of two different servo presses were compared and analyzed by ADAMS. For the crankdriven doubletoggle linkage transmission mechanism, the kinematic equation about the variable speed characteristics of slider was established by the vector method, and the sensitivity analysis of each dimension variable of transmission mechanism was carried out by ADAMS to reduce design variables. Then, the multiobjective optimization of transmission mechanism was accomplished by genetic algorithm with the optimization targets of reducing the highest speed of slider, the maximum acceleration of slider and the height of mechanism. The results show that the performance of the crank vertical toggle linkage transmission mechanism has been greatly improved after optimization. The maximal speed of slider is reduced by 8.5%, the maximum acceleration of slider is reduced by 37.6%, the maximum crank torque is reduced by 9% and the height of mechanism is reduced by 1%, and the transmission mechanism has a good pressureretaining capacity and quick recover characteristic.
