Abstract:

In the rolled steel production line, the looper hydraulic system is a quite important part, and its failure will directly affect the quality of products and result in economic losses. Based on the hydraulic system failure of rolling mill looper having the characteristics of concealment, complexity and difficulty in exclusion, the fault diagnosis expert system was developed by Visual Basic 6.0 software. The expert diagnosis system adept the forward reasoning mechanism, and its knowledge base and reasoning machine were independent. Then, combining the expert system with the fuzzy set theory, the looper hydraulic system troubleshooting was carried out, and its accuracy was improved. Furthermore, according to the failure factors provided by the system, prioritize troubleshooting sequence can save time. The expert system is simple to handle with good practicability and good humanmachine interface.
