Abstract:

According to the issues of bad product and collapsing of punch and edge, the influences of relative position deviation of punch and edge on the die and product were analyzed by DEFORM simulation. Then, the critical issues including the effect of relative position deviation of punch and edge on the die pressure, punch and edge fatigue strength, burr size etc. were analyzed. The facts show that the relative position deviation of punch and edge has little effect on the pressure, but the fatigue strength of punch and edge is weakened and the burr size is also influenced. Therefore, the production efficiency and the service life of die are reduced, and the product quality is influenced. Furthermore, the relative position deviation of punch and edge is improved by die closing machine or manual closing operation, and the die precision and product quality are also improved.
