Abstract:

 To solve the existing problems in original system of hydraulic bulging press, the main control system and the lateral thrust control system were improved by replacing the hardware of original main control system with S7-PLC of high speed processing capability, high precision displacement scale of  0.005 mm precision and sensor, and the original control board of lateral thrust control system was replaced by the controller with shorter controlling period. Then, the refresh time of hardware and the speed of communication data transmission were studied, and the controlling process of pressure during the bulging process after control system updating was researched. The bulging part meets the technical requirement with the maximum pressure of 14 MPa and the shortened forming time of 3 s. Comparing forming pressure data before and after updating the system, the hardware of new control system is improved in response period and data processing capability. Thus, the controller of lateral thrust system could customize the processing curve for different bulging parts and be convenient for on-site debugging, which saves time and cost on maintenance.
