Abstract:
In order to make material on hold surface flow evenly into the cavity of die, the blank holder was made into segment type, and different blank holder forces were imposed on different blocks to get larger drawing depth. Then, a rectangular box was drew by integral blank holder and segment blank holder respectively, and it was comparative studied through numerical simulation and experiment. That is to say, the rectangular part was simulated under different blank holder forces by Dynaform software, and different maximum depths were obtained. It is proved that limit drawing depth can be improved effectively by segment blank holders. In the end, the drawing die with segment blank holders is designed and manufactured to verify the simulation results. The results of experiment are similar to these of simulation. In a word, drawing with segment blank holders is effective, which provides engineering application value and reference value.
