Abstract:
The of application flanging device in automobile tailgate assembly fixture was introduced, and pressing requirement in edging area, which could not be once finished by edging die in tailgate assembly model, was met by adding flanging device with a switch to tailgate assembly fixture. Then, the hole of the panel was positioned by positioning pin in fixture, and the profiles were clamped and positioned by clamping device located in the surface of clamping position to ensure the accuracy and appearance quality requirements. Furthermore, the structure and working principle of fixture with flanging device were mainly described, and the special hemming needs were realized by the structure design of cylinder, guide rod, rotation axis and flanging knife block. Practical production proves that the flanging device can be effectively used in tailgate assembly fixture, and the flanging accuracy and appearance quality requirements in pressing area are met. Thus, the development cost is reduced, the flanging pressing requirement is realized, and the production efficiency is improved.
