Abstract:

 In order to study the influence of horizontal force on the strength and rigidity of press frame,for CWEP12500 kN cold forging press designed and developed by Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Technology, three force models of frame were put forward based on the characteristics of force in the working process. Then, the static analysis was conducted by ANSYS Workbench software, and the stress and deformation of frame under three loading methods were obtained. The results show that the stress of frame under three loading methods is around 60 MPa respectively, which meets requirements. When the frame is subjected to horizontal lateral component of forging force acting on the sliding block, the column generates a deformation of 0.32 mm, which does not meet the experience allowable value of 0.2 mm. The excessive deformation of column leads an adverse effect on the slider orientation, aggravates the wear of guide rail and sliding block and affects the forming accuracy of press. Therefore, in the future, the horizontal force of frame should be taken as one of the factors that influence the rigidity of press, and the optimization of column size and structure is emphasized to increase the rigidity.
