Abstract:

In the process of preparation and processing of aluminum alloy sheet, texture exists widely, which have an adverse effect on obtaining the quality of aluminum alloy products. Therefore, firstly the sheet was prestretched and prestretch was 5%, and then the sheets without prestretch and 5% prestretch were conducted the solution treatment at 535 ℃ for 30-35 min and cooled by water. Furthermore, the influences of prestretch on grain size and texture of aluminum alloy 2219 sheet were investigated by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). The result shows that the grain size of the material grows obviously from 57 μm to 462 μm after prestretch 5%, and texture of the material is also changed obviously. The textures of the original sheet are distributed in cubic (001) [100], rotating cubic (001) [110], and brass (011) [211] texture, but the overall strength distribution is very low. However, after prestretch 5% and solution treatment, the texture of the sheet is changed greatly, and there is only cube texture (001) [100] in the prestretch sheet. Meanwhile, the strength of texture is strengthened obviously, and the content of the cube texture is 13.2%.
