Abstract:

The layout design and multi-station progressive die were conducted for the electric energy meter base. Then, the layout with overlaps and double carriers was designed, and the technique hole was punched before flanging to ensure the flanging dimension. Next, the four-pillar steel die set was selected for high rigidity and smooth operation, and the die was taken on forward assembly structure with dropping the piercing wastes from self-leakage hole and ejecting the finished products by the ejector to strip the products smoothly without deformation. Furthermore, the side edge stops were designed with double-sided edge spacing to ensure the feeding step and accuracy, and the double-sided edge diagonal arrangement increased the utilization of material at the end. Finally, the spring stripper unloaded the strip to ensure the flatness of product, and the precise guidance system made of four small guide pillars installed in the spring stripper and the small guide assembled in the punch plate guaranteed the stamping precision. The production proves that the progressive die can produce the electric energy meter base to meet the requirements of dimension precision and production batch of the products.
