Abstract:

For an automotive subframe, the structure features of part was analyzed, and a multiprocess forming scheme of bending, preforming and hydroforming was designed. Aiming at the crack and crinkle defects in the simulation results, an optimization method based on response surface method was proposed. Then, taking the sizing pressure, initial yield pressure and axial feeding as the optimization factors, and taking the maximum thinning rate and the maximum thickening rate as the objective functions, the fitting equation between the factors and the objective functions was constructed by the response surface method, and the optimal parameter combination with sizing pressure of 90 MPa, initial yield pressure of 35 MPa and axial feeding of 23 mm was determined. Finally, the finite element simulation results and the factory test results were compared. The results show that the simulation results are consistent with the test results to indicate that this method can effectively optimize the forming parameters.
