Abstract:

In order to study the influence of geometric parameters on the forming results of experimental parts in CNC incremental forming, taking the opening diameter, forming angle and forming depth of experimental part as parameters, the numerical simulation experiments were carried out by the orthogonal experiment method and the finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA, and the influences of different factors on the minimum thickness of formed part were obtained by the range analysis. Furthermore, the optimized experimental parts were verified by the experiments. The results show that the forming angle has the greatest influence on the thickness of sheet metal, the thickness decreases with the increasing of the forming angle, and the extreme difference value is 0.3527. However, the influence of the opening diameter is the smallest, the variation trend is not obvious, and the extreme difference value is 0.0184. The actual profile is the same as the theoretical profile, the maximum deviation in Z-axis direction is 0.7703 mm, the minimum deviation is 0.0067 mm, and the average deviation is 0.2666 mm. Thus, the thickness distribution is relatively uniform with an average thickness of 0.7190 mm.
