Abstract:

Based on the finite element analysis software Autoform, the stamping process of a lateral outer panel was analyzed and evaluated. Then, whether it would produce an impact line was predicted, and the mechanism of impact line was explained. For the impact line generated on the Bpillar rear wall of the lateral outer panel, the impact line height was reduced from 74.38 mm to 70.9 mm by increasing the corner radius of back flange face root from R5 mm to R8 mm and increasing the draft angle of side wall from 6° to 11.3°. In addition, the drawing die for the region producing impact line defect adopted insert structure,and the insert was tempered at high temperature with matching clearance requirements <0.03 mm. Through the onsite die debugging, the qualified stamping parts were produced without obvious impact line marks on the Bpillar rear wall, and the hand touch was unblocked. After painting, the vehicle shows a good light effect.
