Abstract:

For ultra-high strength automotive steel DP1180 and QP1180 sheets, their delayed fracture properties were studied by microstructural analysis and slow strain rate tension test (SSRT). The results show that the microstructures of DP1180 steel are martensite and ferrite, and the microstructures of QP1180 steel are martensite, ferrite and a small amount of retained austenite. The delayed fracture behavior of test steel is expressed by the ratio of mechanical properties in 0.1 mol·L-1 HCl medium to air medium. The fracture time, section shrinkage, elongation after fracture and the tensile strength ratio of QP1180 steel are lower than that of DP1180 steel, which shows that 0.1 mol·L-1 HCl medium has more influence on the mechanical properties of QP1180 steel, and its sensitivity to delayed cracking is higher.
