Abstract:

 

 
According to the technical requirements and difficulties of inner-cover plate, nine stations with the single row layout and two-side carriers were designed, and the pre-punching hole process before flanging was designed in order to guarantee the accuracy of holes in innercover plate. Then, the sizing process was designed after bulging and bending to reduce springback and guarantee the dimension accuracy of convex hull and bending edges around the inner-cover plate. Furthermore, in the multi-station progressive die of inner-cover plate, the strip was guided by the guide plate and the floating guide pin, and the feeding step was determined by setting the guiding pin on the carriers on both sides. However, the die was designed as the whole and insert structure to conform the strength, repair the die conveniently and save the cost of die production. Finally, the spring was installed under the die of the forming station, and the press edge station was designed to remove the burrs during punching so as to guarantee the quality of workpiece. The production results show that the multi-station progressive die of inner-cover plate has compact structure and reasonable process, which meets the requirements of batch production and dimensional accuracy for parts.
