Abstract:

The surface layer of titanium alloy sheet was galvanized. The galvanizing process was divided into two stages. Firstly, it was etched in a salt solution with the high concentration of zinc chloride, and then the zinc was coated in a salt solution with the other concentration of zinc chloride. And, the surface wear lives of titanium alloy sheet for galvanized layer sample, descaling sample and ungalvanized layer sample were investigated respectively, and the galvanized layer was determined to establish the maximum positive gradient between the surface of part and the matrix, and improve the friction condition. Furthermore, the adhesion between the coating and the matrix was improved by adding non-uniformity to the galvanized layer on the surface of part, and the extreme deformation process of the limit drawing was realized. The results show that the average depth of limit drawing for the galvanized layer sample is 20%-30% higher than that of the ungalvanized layer sample, which increases the drawing height of titanium alloy sheet and eliminates many times of annealing and cleaning procedures in the intermediate process for deep drawing part. Therefore, the automatic continuous production is realized to improve the production efficiency and optimize the production environment.
