Abstract:
According to the structural characteristics of front armrest reinforcement plate and the technical requirements of actual production, the multi-station progressive die layout was designed. Due to the asymmetrical structure of front armrest reinforcement plate, the layout design adopted a single row structure, the guide hole design adopted the process hole near the symmetry axis of the part itself to ensure the strength of sheet material during punching and bending as well as the feeding accuracy, and the step distance was determined by the guide pin. Then, the multi-station progressive die of front armrest reinforcement plate adopted a splicing structure to separate the workpiece and the waste naturally which was beneficial to reduce the labor costs. At the same time, due to the large number of bending times, in order to ensure the forming precision of sheet material, the empty station was designed to avoid the rebound of formed parts which affected the accuracy of parts. The production results show that the multi-station progressive die of front armrest reinforcement plate meets the production requirements of products, and the material utilization rate of die is up to 55.57% to save materials.
