Title:Numerical simulation and experimental research on extrusion connection forming for stainless steel flareless tube

Abstract:

In order to improve the reliability of aviation hydraulic tube joints, the key problems in the extrusion connection forming for stainless flareless tube were analyzed by the finite element simulation. The simulation results for flareless tube DN8 show that a good forming effect is obtained under the bulging pressure between 160 MPa and 200 MPa. For different thicknesses of rubber sleeves, the best range of lengths is given. When the clearance fit between tube and guide sleeve is 0.1 mm, the bulging pressure needs to reach 180 MPa. Furthermore, the extrusion connection forming test of flareless tube was conducted by the optimized process parameters, and the thickness of tube wall in the deformation area was measured by the microscopic image software,which is consistent with the thickness distribution of the finite element numerical simulation. Thus, the maximum error is less than 8%, and the rationality of the optimization for process parameters is verified, which has certain guiding significance for the extrusion connection forming process of flareless tube.
