Abstract:

 The hot rolling process of high corrosion resistant weathering steel S450EW was made with heating-rough rolling-finishing rolling-laminar cooling-coiling. The thickness control value of rough rolling material was 40 mm with the temperature of (1050±20) ℃, and the thickness control value of finishing rolling material was 7 mm with the temperature of (870±20) ℃. Then, the samples of different hot rolling processes were subjected to metallographic test and mechanical property test to determine the setting range of each process parameter. Meanwhile, the corrosion property verification of S450EW steel was completed, the rolled product of test steel was cut into a plate shape with 70 mm×50 mm×3.5 mm by wire cutting, and the test was made in the FL-65 dry and wet periodic infiltration corrosion testing machine. The results shows that the average corrosion rates of two test samples of S450EW steel are 1.770 and 1.839 g·m-2·h respectively, which is significantly lower than the average corrosion rate of 2.909 g·m-2·h for reference Q345 steel sample.
