Title:Variable blank holder force technology of stamping for 5052 aluminum alloy square box parts

Abstract:

For the accurate stamping of 5052 aluminum alloy square box part, the material properties and parameters were obtained by the tensile test, and the stress-strain curve was drawn. Then, considering the anisotropy of material, the numerical simulation model of stamping for 5052 aluminum alloy square box part was established, and the validity of model was verified by tests. Based on the numerical model, the influence laws of different process parameters on stamping for square box part were studied, and the optimal combination of constant process parameters was obtained with the blank holder force of 15.932 kN, the friction coefficient of 0.175 and the stamping speed of 1313 mm·s-1. Furthermore, the stamping performance of square box parts under variable blank holder force was studied. The results show that the application of loading method for Λ-type variable blank holder force improves the forming quality and the forming performance of sheet, and the results obtained by comparing the simulated results of square box part with the test results are consistent, which verifies the reliability of numerical simulation.
