Abstract:

 Stepper beam automatic feeder is simple in structure, stable in working and fast in response, and it is often used for the automatic feeding of multi-station forging press and especially suitable for large-scale and high-efficiency forging production occasion of small and medium-sized forgings. Basing on the study of field stepper beam automatic feeder, matching requirement between feeder and press, as well as the coordination requirements of feeder, forging process and forming die were heavily discussed. In particular, it was pointed out that “skip” was the biggest obstacle to the automatic forging of stepper beam automatic feeder, and the measures to curb “skip” were introduced. The matching problems when the traditional forging press was equipped with an advanced stepper beam automatic feeder were analyzed and their countermeasures were given.
