Abstract:

 For the surface orange peel defect occurred in the stamping process of DX53D+Z galvanized sheet as a structural part in a factory, the macro morphology, metallographic structure, micro morphology and mechanical properties of the material were comprehensively analyzed by metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrometer, and the causes of orange peel defect were explored. The results show that the reason for the orange peel defect of this batch of cold-rolled annealed galvanized sheet is that the mixed crystals appear in the ferrite grains, and the sizes of grains are obviously different. During drawing, the deformation of large and small grains in the mixed crystal is not coordinated with each other, the deformation is not uniform enough, and it is easy to crack from the deformation grain boundary of coarse ferrite grains, forming uneven and rough surface defect with fish scale distribution which is orange peel defect.
